Check a PDF's properties

Before you submit an assignment, send a proposal to a client or upload a CV, it's worth checking what the file says about itself. PDFs often carry hidden metadata โ€” an old title, someone else's name as author, or the app you used โ€” that the reader can see in their PDF viewer.

What you can see

  • Pages and page size: the page count and paper size (A4, Letter, Legal and more), with orientation โ€” and a note if pages are different sizes.
  • PDF version: from the file header, e.g. 1.4 or 1.7.
  • Title, author, subject and keywords: the document properties set by whoever made it.
  • Created, modified, created with and producer: when the file was made and which software made it.
  • Protection: whether it has a password or restrictions. For protected files the text properties are encrypted, so only the page details are shown.

Private by design. Everything runs in your browser โ€” nothing you enter is uploaded or stored by AISeekho.
