Free online CSV to JSON converter

CSV is what Excel, Google Sheets and most dashboards export. JSON is what APIs, web apps and automation tools like Zapier, Make and n8n expect. This converter moves your data between the two without uploading it anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Pick a direction: CSV → JSON or JSON → CSV.
  2. Paste your data, tap Open file, or try the sample.

CSV → JSON details

  • With First row is the header on, each row becomes an object using the header names as keys. Blank or repeated headers get unique names like column_3 or name_2.
  • Convert numbers and true/false turns 25 into a number and TRUE into a boolean. Values with leading zeros, like phone numbers 03001234567, stay as text.
  • Excel files saved as “CSV UTF-8” (with a byte-order mark) are read correctly.

JSON → CSV details

  • Input can be an array of objects, a single object, or an array of arrays. Columns are collected from every object, not just the first.
  • Nested objects are flattened with dot notation: {"user": {"name": "Ali"}} becomes a user.name column. Arrays are kept as JSON text in a single cell.
  • Downloaded CSV files include a UTF-8 marker so Excel shows Urdu and other non-English text properly.
