WHOIS Domain Lookup

Check a domain's registrar, registration and expiry dates, name servers and status — fetched live from the domain's registry. Useful before buying a domain, or to remind a client their domain is about to expire.

A domain or a full URL. Subdomains are looked up as their registered domain (blog.example.com → example.com).

Try:

Enter a domain to see its registrar, registration and expiry dates.

  • Straight from the registry

Data comes live from the official registry for each extension (.com, .org, .ai, .uk and hundreds more).

  • Expiry and age

See how many days are left before a domain expires and how old it is — handy for SEO and buying decisions.

  • Status explained

Transfer locks, holds and redemption periods are explained in plain English, with the raw data one tap away.

About this WHOIS lookup

WHOIS is the public record of who a domain is registered through and for how long. This tool uses RDAP, the modern, structured replacement for WHOIS that registries now publish. AISeekho's server finds the right registry for the domain's extension using IANA's official RDAP directory and asks it directly. Your lookups aren't stored.

What you'll see

  • Registrar: the company the domain was bought through, with its IANA ID and abuse contact.
  • Dates: when the domain was registered, when it expires and when it was last changed.
  • Name servers and DNSSEC:where the domain's DNS is hosted and whether it's signed.
  • Status codes: locks and states such as client transfer prohibited, explained.

.pk domains and other extensions

PKNIC, which runs .pk, and some other country registries (such as .io and .de) don't offer RDAP yet. For those, the tool links you to the registry's own lookup instead.

Privacy and owner details

Since GDPR, most registries hide the owner's name, email and address. If you need to reach a domain owner, contact the registrar — many offer a form that forwards your message.

Domain tips

  • Keep auto-renew on and your registrar contact email up to date so you never lose a domain.
  • Leave the transfer lock on unless you're moving the domain to another registrar.
  • "No registration record" usually means a domain is available, but reserved and premium names can also show this — confirm with a registrar.

How this works. This tool runs on AISeekho's server because a browser can't do it on its own. We don't store what you enter.
