User-Agent Parser

Decode any user-agent string into browser, operating system and device β€” and find out whether a visitor in your logs is a person or a bot.

Results update as you type. Find user agents in server access logs, analytics exports or the User-Agent request header.

What is a user-agent string?

Every browser, app and bot sends a User-Agent header with each request. It names the software, its version and the platform it runs on. Developers read it to debug issues, understand which devices their visitors use and separate real people from crawlers in analytics.

How to use it

  1. Paste a user agent from your server logs, analytics or a bug report β€” or tap β€œUse my browser”.
  2. Read the browser, operating system and device in the summary.
  3. Switch to JSON to copy the result into a ticket or test fixture.

Good to know

  • User agents can be faked.Any client can send any string, so don't rely on it for security decisions.
  • Modern browsers hide details. Chrome and Edge now report versions like 120.0.0.0, freeze the OS version (Windows 11 still says Windows NT 10.0) and replace Android phone models with K. That's why some fields show β€œUnknown”.
  • Prefer feature detection. To decide whether a feature works, test for it in JavaScript or CSS instead of checking the browser name.
  • Still useful for: analytics, bot filtering, reproducing bugs and serving the right app-store link.

Private by design. Everything runs in your browser β€” nothing you enter is uploaded or stored by AISeekho.
